Major Renovations
Our Work
Major restorations is our main speciality. If you have a loft, cellar or a barn that is not being used to its maximum potential then converting it is our speciality.
Conversion of unused space to bedrooms for a business opportunity or a cinema room then we provide the expertise to convert that ‘wasted’ space to your dream.

Villeneuve sur Lot
A large 28m2 terrace was constructed adjoining the main house and wrapping around the west and northside of the property to give shade.
The structure was created using Douglas Pine and the underside boarded and the roof was laid with canalite to keep it lightweight and canal tiles for aesthetics.
The existing terrace had to be extended and then a chappe laid ready to lay the travertine floor tiles in a opus( random size, random pattern).
The tiling was then continued around the pool area with newly created steps leading down. The travertine was continued although this time the pattern was laid in brick fashion.
The terracing was created allowing for the slope away from the pool with drainage gulleys barn side and stone gulleys gardenside. The retaining walls were then rendered.
The retaining walls for the existing terrace, garden and pool end terrace wall were then built, rendered and capped.

The client wanted to develop an area on the first floor of her property that she could use for chambre d’hotes. All bedrooms to be en suite and a communal living space.
Firstly the old insulation was removed. A suspended ceiling was created leaving the main A frame and perlins. The new ceiling was set at 3 metres which gave plenty of height and allowed cables to be run for lighting throughout and enabled maximum insulation to be laid, thus minimising heating costs.
Beams in the living space were cleaned up and plaster boarded in between, ready for the decorator. The floor was levelled by laying bearers and double OSB board, to allow for tiling in the bathrooms and ready for a laminate floor. En suite bedrooms were created . Walls were pointed to highlight the stonework and plasterboarded where required. Internal walls were erected and doors fitted. Liaison with the plumbing and electrical team was vital as the shower rooms were created and lighting set up throughout the space. Once ready the shower room floors and walls were tiled.
The client Claire was thrilled with her space. She was living on site throughout the project and was pleased the disruption was minimal.

Our clients had purchased a large farmhouse in need of total renovation. We worked with the local architect to reconfigure the space downstairs and create bedrooms and bathrooms on the first floor. We combined the original beams in the living area with original terracotta floor tiles and partitioned the downstairs and exposed the stone walls where possible. Upstairs a solid wooden floor was laid, new walls created and boarded to accommodate dormer windows. Sound insulation was laid between floors and 400mm thermal insulation laid above for minimal heat loss. We liaised with the plumber for the en-suite bathrooms installing wet room showers and tiling throughout.
Our clients were based overseas and so regular updates and progress reports were communicated to the client.
